Production Information
What metals do you use?
Most pieces are made from solid sterling silver, some from brass and copper. The exact make-up of each piece will be listed in the product description.
All earring wires, hooks, hoops, posts are sterling silver.
Nothing is ever plated.
Stones and sourcing
At this time, stone are either semi-precious gemstones; found shells, pebbles or rock; or unknown recycled stones.
All stone are either found, recycled, or directly sourced from stone sellers in New Delhi.
Are pieces made to order?
Repeated styles and designs are made to order. One-off styles are ready to ship. Each product page will specify whether a piece is made to order.
Allow 1-2 weeks for fabrication of made-to-order collection. If you need the piece sooner email contact@planetarymotion.online. Additional charges may apply.
Will you replicate designs?
Certain items are specifically one-off designs and will not be replicated exactly. Similar motifs, stones, styles, elements may be used in other pieces.
Repeated styles and designs with stones will have limited quantities and/or stone variations.
All product pages specify whether a piece is repeatable or not.
Care Instructions
Silver Care
Sterling Silver naturally tarnishes and evolves with you over time. The more you wear it the less it will tarnish, as it is gently buffed by everyday use. If tarnish appears, it is easily cleaned using a silver polishing cloth or a small amount of toothpaste.
Avoid lotions or harsh chemicals when wearing to help prevent tarnishing. When not in use, keep pieces in dry containers.
Silver is softer metal and may wear over time. The gentler you are on your jewelry, the less wear it will show.
Brass Care
Brass will naturally patina and oxidize over time. For some this may be part of the charm. If you would like to remove tarnish however, you can use a polishing cloth, toothpaste, a mixture of salt and vinegar, or brass-specific polish. Be careful to avoid overly abrasive cleaners, and be gentle during polishing to avoid scratching the metal.
Brass is a harder metal, but still may show signs of wear if not treated with care.
Stone Care
Stones can be hardy, but each stone has a different level of hardness and durability. Be mindful and handle pieces with care to avoid damaging stones and settings.
Most of the stones used are one of a kind and may not be replaceable if damaged. However, when possible a stone may be replaced for a fee. Should something happen, please email contact@planetarymotion.online with "repair" in the subject line.
Customs Information
How do I place a custom order?
Please fill out an inquiry form which can be found by clicking the “Customs” button in the main header menu. All custom requests must go through the form. If you have questions prior to submitting the form, please feel free to reach out. However, the official request must be made via the customs form.
You will need to provide a budget, a timeline, the type of item, and general inspiration for the design if applicable.
Will you replicate a custom piece?
Customs are all one-of-a-kind, unless a replica is requested by the original customer. I will not remake a custom for regular commercial use, nor will I replicate it for another customer.
Custom Inspiration [ethics and suggestions]
The number one rule: I will not replicate another artists designs. Please avoid referencing another jewelry artist's work in your order form. If that is your only point of reference, you may include it, but know that I will not replicate it.
References from my own work are strongly encouraged! Other forms of inspiration I prefer are from nature, paintings, sculpture, architecture, stone preferences, etc.
Additionally, I will not replicate a custom made for someone else or a one-off piece. But these may be used for inspiration.
When including inspiration images in your form, it can be helpful to know which specific element you are drawn to: movement, composition, color, playfulness, overall vibe, maturity, sharp/roundness, etc.
Sizing
Adjustable Sizing
Many Planetary Motion designs have adjustable sizing. This will be specified in the product description.
When selecting a ring size for an adjustable design- the band will be designed to fit the ring size, and can be comfortably adjusted up or down by at least one size.
Ring size can naturally fluctuate at different times of day and during different seasons. Offering adjustable designs is a conscious effort towards accessibility and wearability.
Ring Sizing
All rings are measured to US standard ring size.
To measure your own ring size measure the circumference of your finger and refer to this chart.
You may email contact@planetarymotion.online with additional questions on measurements. Please put all measurements in mm.
Ear Cuff Sizing
I use the following measurements for ear cuff sizing:
Small (8mm inner diameter)
Medium (11mm inner diameter)
Large (13mm inner diameter).
The cuffs are adjustable, so if you are unsure of your size I recommend a medium.
Custom Sizing
I offer custom sizing on made-to-order and custom pieces. Please email contact@planetarymotion.online with measurements in mm or cm.
Resizing
I can resize any piece with adjustable sizing, or custom order. This may include a fee unless it is due to an error in fabrication.
For ready to wear pieces please refer to the product description for size information before purchase because I may not be able to resize some of these pieces.

Shipping and Returns
When will my order ship?
Ready to wear items will be shipped within 3-5 business days.
Made to order pieces will be shipped after a 1-2 week production period.
Custom work will ship after a minimum 1 month production period.
If you need an item to be produced or shipped sooner, you are welcome to email contact@planetarymotion.online. Expedited requests may be accommodated on a case by case basis for an additional fee.
Do you accept returns?
At this time all sales are final unless a piece is damaged when you receive it.
I may accommodate an exchange for an item of equal value on a case by case basis.
If an exchange is possible, shipping costs will be covered by the customer, unless done in person.
Repair Policy
If an item is damaged when you receive it I will replace or repair it without a fee.
If an item is damaged within 1 year of purchase I will repair it for free, but may have to charge for additional material costs depending on situation.
If a stone is lost or damaged I may not be able to replace it, as many are one-of-a-kind.
